Pride of America was built by Ingalls Shipbuilding and completed by Lloyd Werft, entering service in 2005 as the only U.S.-flagged large cruise ship. The ship was acquired and finished by Norwegian Cruise Line after the original company’s bankruptcy, ordered initially for American Classic Voyages. Pride of America operates exclusively in Hawaii year-round and is registered in Honolulu, Hawaii. It underwent major refurbishments in 2016 and 2021.
