Norwegian Bliss is a large cruise ship operated by Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL). The ship is part of NCL’s Breakaway Plus class, built by Meyer Werft in Papenburg, Germany. Construction began with steel‑cutting in October 2016. The ship was floated out in February 2018 and formally delivered in April 2018. The maiden voyage took place on 21 April 2018. Norwegian Bliss was designed to serve the Alaskan cruising market with high‑end features and improved environmental systems. The vessel became the first passenger ship of its size to transit the Panama Canal on its repositioning from New York to Seattle.
