Disney Dream is the third ship in Disney Cruise Line’s fleet, delivered in 2011. Built by Meyer Werft in Papenburg, Germany, it was the first of the Dream‑class ships, followed by Disney Fantasy. The ship was christened in Port Canaveral, Florida, on 19 January 2011, with Jennifer Hudson serving as godmother. Its maiden voyage took place on 26 January 2011, beginning regular 3‑, 4‑, and 5‑night cruises to The Bahamas.
